3rd Year Production Unit: Helping on another shoot part 3

I have also been able to help a different group on one of their shoots. The location was set in a school in Chatham, so was very easy for me to get to, which is the main reason why I offered my help. I asked the group if I needed to bring anything with me, and they said that I needed to look like I was a sixth form student, so I brought a suit to change into, plus a bag with a few books in it.

I knew that I was only going to be used as an extra, but when I got to the location, I found out that I was only going to be walking along a corridor and sitting in a classroom. I was going to be doing this along with a few other people. This was to make it seem that there were more students than there were, as the shoot day was during half term.

The other actors that were at the location were really friendly and we all got on well. I had also helped the group out before on another project, so we worked well together. This project is something to do with mental health, and how it can affect people, both directly and indirectly.

The shoot went really well, and after the corridor scene and the classroom scene was finished, me and the other extras were able to leave. I was only there for about 2 hours, but enjoyed the shoot a lot. From what I saw, the group has a very good plan for their shoot, and how it is going to look when they come to edit it.

Documentary unit: Jackie interview

So we could get an outside view on fake fear, we were able to secure an interview with an actual adrenaline junkie, only thing was, she's 73! She was amazing to interview, and her answers were so descriptive, which gave us some area to play around with during the edit. We needed to rearrange the house to better suit an interview, and when we realised that we would have to do that, we were glad that we were filming in one of our own homes instead of Jackie's house, or in a public area, as we then had control over the whole environment. Jackie was a pleasure to interview, as she was very relaxed and had a great sense of humour to match.
