      Trademark techniques

He inherited a love for filmmaking from his father, a furniture and appliance store owner

He created his first film at the age of 11, and two years later, he had his own 8 mm camera to use on his own projects.

Raimi, along with his friend Bruce Campbell, later studied filmmaking with Vern Nobles who made industrial films

In 1977, Raimi enrolled at Michigan State University.

He formed Renaissance Pictures with his friends Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert. To raise money, he and his partners met with local doctors, lawyers, and other professionals in the Detroit area.

For The Evil Dead, Raimi and partners had trouble finding a distributor, but eventually had the film released in Europe

In several of his films, Raimi has a voice-over from a principle character at the end of his films, such as in all the Spider-man films and Army of Darkness

He usually wears a jacket and tie in a tribute to Alfred Hitchcock

While filming, he humorously "abuses" actors by doing things like hitting them with tree branches to simulate getting hit with debris or throwing popcorn at them.

He is a big fan of the ‘whip pan’

Live Studio Production: Ideas

Live studio idea We were told that we had to start thinking about what the theme of our Live Studio Production is going to be, and were tasked to come up with some ideas to pitch. This was the idea that I thought of. A chat show, but the guests do activities, similar to graham norton or Ellen degeners  First half could be getting to know the guests, some stories that they have ( either embarrassing or saucy etc ) Have some general chat between the guests, of which there are two or three. Not as scripted as it needs to feel like a natural conversation  Second half is the guests doing some activities, such as CAH, or similar to Norman VT from last years project. Have two or three different activities  End with scores, winner gets a prize, loser(s) have to do a forfeit. My partner had the idea to have a talent show for the disabled, so we decided to combine the two and have a chat show that focuses on the mentally or physically disabled, and ...
